Medical Center observes Pet Therapy Awareness Day

Penn State Hershey Medical Center recently observed Pet Therapy Awareness Day. Several dogs and their handlers were on-hand to help inform the public about the Pet Therapy Program’s role at the Medical Center. The Pet Therapy Program at Penn State Hershey Medical Center began in 2005 and visits occur in nearly all adult units in the hospital every day of the week. Regularly scheduled visits to the Children’s Hospital also take place.
