Penn State Altoona inducted into Hall of Fame

Penn State Altoona was inducted into the Blair County Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame in the category of Community Service on Monday, Oct. 17, during its annual Business Hall of Fame event at the Blair County Convention Center. Chancellor Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry accepted the award on behalf of the campus.

The Community Service Award’s purpose is to recognize Blair County businesses, organizations, nonprofits, fraternal organizations, churches and other faith-based entities for outstanding community service that doesn’t have a direct benefit to them. The award is designed to encourage and challenge all Blair County businesses and their employees to volunteer their efforts in a similar manner for the betterment of their community.
