Altoona

First Business Case Competition takes place this week

Penn State Altoona's first Business Case Competition will take place this Friday and Saturday at the HITE Company and the new Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence.

The Penn State Altoona Business Case Competition, sponsored by The Hite Company, will be held Nov. 4 to 5.  It is an undergraduate competition open to students at the University Park and Penn State Altoona campuses.

The case used at the competition was developed by the Business Case Competition Advisory Board and based on an existing opportunity at The Hite Company. Eight teams, comprised of four students each, will present for 20 minutes or less, then participate in two, 10-minute sessions with the judges: one featuring a question-and-answer format and the other focused on feedback. All four team members will offer an equal share of the presentation. The judging criteria will be overall performance and quality of analysis, presentation, and the question-and-answer session.

Each member of the winning business case team will receive a $2,500 Penn State scholarship thanks to the generous philanthropy of The Hite Company.
