'The Power of Rural' conference celebrates rural health achievements

The Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health is sponsoring a conference, "The Power of Rural: Celebrating Rural Health in Pennsylvania," on Thursday, Nov.17. The daylong conference, which will be held at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, Pa., will commemorate the significant achievements that have been made in rural health across the commonwealth over the past 20 years.

Plenary sessions will focus on high-quality rural healthcare delivery systems found throughout the Commonwealth as well as successful statewide community-based programs that are making a positive difference in the health of Pennsylvania’s rural citizens. The conference will also include keynote speakers from the the Regional Office of the U.S. Department Health and Human Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the National Rural Health Association and the Center for Rural Pennsylvania.
