PSIEE to host research networking events on Dec. 5

The Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment (PSIEE) is inviting researchers to a trio of events designed to foster research collaboration. The events will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, at the Nittany Lion Inn on the University Park campus.

From 3:30 to 5 p.m. the workshop "Managing Interdisciplinary Research: Panel of Experience" will be held in the Assembly Room of the Nittany Lion Inn. A panel of researchers experienced in leading interdisciplinary research will lead the workshop. From 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. "Speed Networking: Close Encounters of the PSIEE Kind" will be held in the Assembly Room. The "speed-networking" event will have a format similar to speed-dating and will allow faculty to make brief acquaintances with many of their colleagues and to advance future networking and collaborative activities. From 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. a wine and cheese reception will be held in the Faculty Staff Club in the Nittany Lion Inn.

Those planning to attend should make reservations for one, two or all three events; reservations will be accepted from first 100 responses. RSVP to Sandy Maitland at slm30@psu.edu by Nov. 30.
