Hundreds attended annual Fall Health Fair

Hundreds of Penn State Beaver students, faculty and staff attended the Fall Health Fair held Nov. 30 in the Student Union Building. The annual event is designed to provide Penn State students and employees with a variety of health-related information and updates. Representatives from various area health care offices were available to talk with visitors in groups as well as one-on-one.

Services and information tables were provided by numerous health-related groups, including Turning Point Treatment Center, the Tobacco Cessation Network, Gateway Rehabilitation Center, the Women’s Center of Beaver County, Curves, the YMCA, the Beaver County Vo-Tech, PA Department of Health, Medic Rescue and more.

Service offerings included screenings for blood pressure, vision, cholesterol, and blood sugar; CPR demonstrations, and aromatherapy.
