Libraries have new chargers and adapters available for circulation

The University Libraries are now circulating some new and frequently asked for items, including USB wall adapters, iPhone connector cables and more, for short term use in Pattee and Paterno libraries. Purchased with funds from the University Park Undergraduate Association, the items are available from the Commons Services Desk on the first floor of Pattee Library and circulate for four hours. Three USB wall adapters, 11 iPod/iPhone dock connector cables and 10 micro USB keychains are available. The connector cables and micro USB keychains can be used with any computer in the library, or checked out to use with a wall adapter.

Other items available from the Commons Services Desk are laptops that circulate for 24 hours and are intended for use inside the building, laptops that circulate for seven days and patrons can take home, scientific calculators, a graphing calculator and headphones.

Many of these items are available for use in the newly opened Knowledge Commons in Pattee Library -- an innovative collaboration between Penn State's University Libraries and Information Technology Services, providing a "one-stop shop" for students to complete assignments, from research papers to videos. A website with an interactive floor plan at resources.libraries.psu.edu/coll/kcinfo illustrates the new services and areas that are available.
