Community Hands-Only CPR training offered

Almost 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests happen in the home. Ninety-two percent of victims don't survive, often because people around them don't take action and begin CPR. Everyone can help change this statistic by learning the simple skills of Hands-Only CPR.

Free, community CPR training is available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Giant Center in Hershey. This training event is supported by Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute and Life Lion, Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company, The Hershey Company, the Hershey Trust, and The M.S. Hershey Foundation.

Hands-Only CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but who do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for students eight years old and older, parents, grandparents, business professionals, and employees of small and large businesses -- anyone willing to help save lives.
