Steelworker for the Future news conference canceled

The news conference launching the Steelworker for the Future program in Central Pennsylvania, set for Thursday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at Penn State York has been
cancelled due to a conflict with the memorial service being held for the late Coach Joe Paterno.

A news release and other information concerning this partnership between Penn State Harrisburg, Penn State York, ArcelorMittal Steelton, and United Steelworkers Local 1688 will released on Monday, Jan. 30. The Steelworker for the Future is an associate degree program, along with advanced industrial credit certificates, designed to help prepare students for high-tech, well-paying careers in the steel or manufacturing industry.
