Greater Allegheny

Greater Allegheny 5K is back on April 21

This year's run/walk will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, starting at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Student Community Center and winding through Renzie Park.

Registration is $10 for students/kids and $25 for adults, which includes a cotton T-shirt and post-race goodies. New this year we are offering dri-fit T-shirts at a slightly higher registration cost.  Runner's High will be timing our event again this year. The registration deadline is March 30.

The GA5K run/walk was created to allow the students, staff, faculty and the surrounding communities to challenge themselves while serving as a contributing member of their community. All proceeds will benefit Sonshine Community Ministries and the Pauline Auberle Foundation. Sonshine’s mission is to be a place of hope for the hurting by providing clothing, food, and counseling services to the homeless and less fortunate of the area. The Pauline Auberle Foundation enables children and families to harness the strength to heal by helping thousands of children and their families through their residential care, foster care, emergency shelter, in-home intervention, education, vocational, workforce development, student assistance, drug and alcohol and mental health programs.
