Adult learner information sessions set at Southern York County YMCA

Penn State York, in partnership with the Southern York County Branch YMCA, is holding two adult learner information sessions to explore community interest in the campus offering credit courses and professional development programming at the YMCA.  The information sessions will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, at the Southern York County Branch of the YMCA, 100 Constitution Ave., Shrewsbury, Pa.,  17361.

Depending on community interest, the office of continuing education at Penn State York is considering offering credit courses that fulfill the requirements for the Business Essentials for Professionals and Health Care Leadership certificates, as well as the associate and baccalaureate in business degrees. If the interest is there, courses could be offered beginning in the fall.

Other possible offerings include a professional certificate in project management and personal enrichment courses in Italian, French, German, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.

Individuals, companies and organizations in need of more information or interested in registering for Penn State courses should plan to attend the information sessions.

Penn State York also offers programs in Hanover, Pa., through continuing education thanks to a partnership with Hanover Hospital.
