Rothwell to receive national award from ASTD

William Rothwell, professor of workforce education and development, has been named winner of the 2011 Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Performance Award. This prestigious award, given by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), recognizes an exceptional contribution of sustained impact on the field of workplace learning and performance.

Rothwell will be honored May 7 during the ASTD International Conference and Exposition in Denver, Colo.

ASTD is the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and development professionals. ASTD’s members come from more than 100 countries and connect locally in more than 125 U.S. chapters and with more than 20 international partners. Members work in thousands of organizations of all sizes, in government, as independent consultants and as suppliers.
