Police supervisor Schwartz retires from Penn State Beaver

Ron Schwartz, police services supervisor at Penn State Beaver, retired from the University on December 31.
 
He joined the campus in 1983 and was responsible for the overall operation, management, and administration of campus law enforcement and safety services. Beaver has a full-time police force that works 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and Schwartz oversaw five full-time officers as well as part-time officers.

Prior to his arrival at Beaver, Schwartz served 12 years as an Allegheny County police officer and sergeant.
 
He attended the Community College of Allegheny County for his police training and received a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from the University of Pittsburgh.
