Penn State Law professor appointed to editorial board of ECFR

Penn State Law Professor Marco Ventoruzzo was recently appointed to the editorial board for the peer-reviewed "European Company and Financial Law Review"(ECFR). He will assume the role of managing editor effective 2013.

Inaugurated in 2004, the ECFR expands the Max Planck Institute’s engagement in the fields of company and financial law into the European and international publication arena. The ECFR is dedicated to addressing problems that are inherent to all forms of corporate organization and their financing. It reflects the cross-border nature of company and financial law as well as the critical dialogue between scholars and practitioners in Europe and beyond. Ventoruzzo will join other board members including Paul Davies from Oxford University Law School, Klaus Hopt from the Max Planck Hamburg, Isabelle Urbain-Parleani from Paris V.

“I am honored to have been appointed to the editorial board of one of the most prestigious journals in Europe. My appointment will allow me to be even more closely in touch with the scholarly debate on corporate law and securities regulation,” said Ventoruzzo.

Ventoruzzo holds a joint appointment with Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where he is director of the Ph.D. in Corporate and Business Law program and vice-director of the Paolo Baffi Research Center on Central Banking and Financial Regulation. He was recently named to the board of supervisors of UniCredit, a major multi-national financial institution and to the board of supervisors of the Italian Democratic Party, which oversees the finances of that organization. He also served on the committee that drafted the Italian Code of Corporate Governance and from 2001 to 2008 served as a Special Legal Consultant to the Italian Stock Exchange (London Stock Exchange Group).
