UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Smeal College of Business is hosting a conference in April to bring together women students, alumnae and businesswomen for networking, professional development and a celebration of women in business.
Powerful Women Paving the Way, an annual conference hosted by Penn State Women in Business, will be held on April 19 and 20 on the University Park campus. The event is open to the public and attendees must register online by April 13. The cost is $99 ($30 for Penn State undergraduate students).
Conference goers will hear perspectives from some of Smeal's most accomplished business leaders, gain issues-based insights and knowledge that can be applied to their professional and personal lives, and make connections with successful Penn State alumnae.
The agenda features three keynote speakers. They are Ellen Gustafson, co-founder of FEED and creator of the 30 Project; Monica Haslip, founder and executive director of Little Black Pearl; Russ Rose, Penn State women's volleyball head coach; and Smeal alumna Farnoosh Torabi, author of "You're So Money" and "Psych Yourself Rich."
The conference also includes four periods of breakout sessions. The breakout tracks are tailored to the interests of students, recent graduates and professional women as well as a general track that will be of interest to all attendees.
