Conference to focus on 'Corporate Innovation and Venture Capital'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Angel investors, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs will convene at Penn State on April 20 for the fourth annual Nittany Lion Early Stage Venture Capital Conference, hosted by the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Penn State Law and Entrepreneurship Association.

Entrepreneur Todd Erdley, president and CEO of Videon Central, a leading provider of Blu-ray Disc middleware and video streaming technology for the consumer electronics market, will open the conference at 8:45 a.m.

The agenda will also include three panel discussions focused on what to expect when starting a business, the importance of intellectual property in valuation, and the role of corporate venture capital in innovation. Panel speakers include Penn State faculty, corporate executives, consultants, entrepreneurs and attorneys.

The conference begins with a breakfast reception at 8 a.m. at the Nittany Lion Inn on Penn State's University Park campus and concludes at 4 p.m.
