Spring 2012 'CEO Conversations' series continues at Penn State Fayette

Alan Armstrong, president and CEO of Williams Field Services, will close the spring 2012 series “CEO Conversations” at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus on Wednesday, April 18. This free event is open to the public and will be held in the Penn State Fayette campus’ Community Center from noon to 1 p.m.

Williams Field Services traces its roots to 1908 with the construction projects of Miller and David Williams in Fort Smith, Ark., when the brothers began building cross-country natural gas and petroleum pipelines. Today, Williams Field Services is one of the leading infrastructure companies in North America. Recent additions to the company’s profile include expanding their presence in the Marcellus Shale basin in the northeast.

For more than two decades, Armstrong has held supported the Williams company through various positions, guiding him to the role of president and CEO in 2011. His dedication to the company dates back to his academic years. A year after graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1985 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, Armstrong joined the Williams company as an engineer.

CEO Conversations is designed to give students the opportunity to hear from and talk with key individuals in the local, regional, and national business communities about business, entrepreneurship and leadership. The 2012 guest speaker series is being sponsored by Joseph A. Hardy III.
