Musser will assume this national leadership role at the end of the NACADA annual conference being held in Nashville, Tenn., in October and will serve in the position for two years.

Musser previously served as a member of the NACADA board of directors and as a regional division representative.

As part of the NACADA Council, Musser will share responsibility with the appointed administrative division representative for representing the standing and appointed committees and advisory boards. The National Academic Advising Association was chartered as a nonprofit organization in 1979 to promote quality academic advising and professional development of its membership to ensure the educational development of students. Since that beginning, NACADA has grown to 10,000 members consisting of faculty members, professional advisers, administrators, counselors and others in academic and student affairs concerned with the intellectual, personal and vocational needs of students.
