University Libraries hours set for study days and finals

To accommodate end of semester study needs, Pattee and Paterno Libraries are open until 2 a.m. every night, from Wednesday, April 25 through Saturday, April 28, and are open for 24-hour continuous service, beginning 10 a.m. Sunday, April 29 through 2 a.m. Thursday, May 3. Exceptions to these hours include the Maps Library and the Special Collections Library.

The Study All Night area, which includes the Knowledge Commons, throughout the first floor of Pattee Library, and the News and Microforms Library, on the ground floor of Pattee Library, west, are open for 24-hour service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 22 through 2 a.m. Thursday, May 3.

Mackinnon's Café, located on the ground floor of Pattee Library, west, are open with later hours beginning April 25 through May 3. The hours are posted on the café door, or call 814-865-9380 for information.

Another service added for the convenience and safety of students is the late-night CATA bus service. The Blue Loop runs until 2:21 a.m. and the White Loop runs until 2:15 a.m., from Wednesday, April 25 through Saturday, May 5. The buses run approximately every 20 minutes and the service is free. The additional hours are sponsored by the University Libraries and Information Technology Services.

Pattee and Paterno Libraries close at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 4, and reopen at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 for summer hours.
