Community gathers for commencement at Penn State Fayette

UNIONTOWN, Pa. -- Families, friends, classmates, and colleagues of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus gathered for the 42nd annual Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 5, in the Main Arena in the Community Center. Pennsylvania State Senator Richard A. Kasunic was the featured speaker at the ceremony. He shared a number of thoughts and insights with the graduates. In part, Kasunic said, “Up to this time, your work has been directed and made as easy and beneficial as trained minds could make it. From now on, you must rely upon your own efforts. The good you derived from your college experience will depend entirely upon you. The success you make of your life career will likewise be due to your own initiative.” He also pointed out that each graduate is an important person, “for each of you possess the dignity of human life, filled with all kinds of possibilities to make the world a better place in which to live. Always remember you can’t control the length of your life, but you can have something to say about the width and depth of it.”
