Abington offers personal home care administrator training

Penn State Abington Continuing Education has announced that is offering the state Department of Public Welfare-approved standardized training course for personal home care administrators.

According to Theresa Bloom, Continuing Education program representative, the course is designed for aspiring and current administrators as well as enabling nurses, caregivers, and health-care professionals to fulfill continuing education requirements.

Bloom also noted that Abington is easily accessible by mass transit, and it is the only provider of this training within 15 miles. Abington charges less for the course and a payment plan is available, she said.

The 100-hour program runs from May 31 and through June 30. The 15 sessions will be held Thursday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
