Transition to new on-campus wireless Internet service complete

Penn State's transition to the new Wireless 2.0 on-campus wireless Internet service is complete. As of July 1, the University's legacy Wireless 1.0 Virtual Private Network (VPN) will be discontinued; all users should convert to the University's new wireless service for on-campus Internet access.

The new Wireless 2.0 service provides improved levels of security and performance, enables instant connection to the Internet for anyone with a Penn State access account, and provides consistent wireless coverage within and between all Wireless 2.0-enabled buildings and common areas at every Penn State campus. The service is easy to use and only requires a one-time setup. To download connection software and go through a step-by-step setup, visit http://wireless.psu.edu/setup.
