Cast your vote for the Farmers Market in Hershey

The American Farmland Trust (AFT) is sponsoring its annual competition to determine the best farmers markets in the country. Last year, the Farmers Market in Hershey was voted sixth best market in the U.S., and they are aiming higher this season. Voting takes about one minute; find the contest link at and search for "The Farmers Market in Hershey" to cast your vote.

The purpose of AFT’s America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest is to raise national awareness about local farmers markets, the role they play in supporting local farms, and the importance of protecting American farmland. Voting ends on Sept. 3 at midnight.

The Farmers Market in Hershey is a wellness-focused farmers market located between the Hershey Center for Applied Research and the Cocoa Beanery, off Bullfrog Valley Road near the west campus of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine.

The market is open from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. each Thursday from May 24 to Nov. 1, and is supported by Penn State Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine, the Hershey Center for Applied Research, the Hershey Trust, and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts.
