Civil engineering grad student Kasprzyk wins presentation award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Joe Kasprzyk, a graduate student in civil engineering, won a student presentation award at the International Congress on Environmental Modelling and Software in Leipzig, Germany.

Kasprzyk's paper, titled "Many-Objective Robust Decision Making for Water Supply Portfolio Planning Under Deep Uncertainty," was co-authored with Patrick Reed, associate professor of civil engineering, and Shanthi Nataraj and Robert Lempert of the RAND Coporation.

The award and the bi-annual conference are sponsored by the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society. As part of the award, Kasprzyk will receive a complimentary registration to the 2014 conference in San Diego, Calif.
