Fall semester's admissions events planned at Penn State New Kensington

The Admissions Office is holding 12 events during the fall semester for prospective students and parents.

The events include:

-- For Parents Only, Sept. 19

-- Be a Student for a Day, Sept. 26, Oct. 24, and Nov. 28

-- Fall Open House, Sept. 27

-- Fall Festival, Sept. 29

-- RadSci/BET Open House, Oct. 17 (Allegheny General Hospital) and Nov. 14 (New Kensington campus)

-- Penn State Day Open House, Oct. 20

-- Veterans/Adult Open House, Nov. 13

All events, except for the RadSci/BET program on Oct. 17, will be held in the Conference Center. In addition, there are two application days slated for Oct. 8 and Nov. 12.

The For Parents Only program is geared toward parents of high school students and is a guide to the college admissions and the financial aid processes. Be a Student for a Day events give future students the opportunity to attend classes with a current student.

The Fall Open House is a chance for prospective students and their families to explore the University and meet with campus students, faculty, staff and alumni. The Fall Festival is a chance to see the campus community in its non-academic mode. Application Day provides prospective students with help in filling out an application and allows for on-the-spot admissions decisions.
