Penn State Beaver Alumni Society golf outing winners are announced

The Penn State Beaver Alumni Society announced the winners of the its twelfth annual golf outing held Monday, Sept. 10, at Seven Oaks Country Club, Brighton Township.

First place team was Kip’s Ice Cream with a score of 57 by team members Nick Anderson, Shane Hecht, John Murawski, and Don Ware. The Beaver County Times team won second place with a score of 60 by team members Greg Best, Larry Boggs, Bob Johnston, and Vaughn Vacar.  Each first-place winner received a $75 gift certificate and each second-place winner received a $60 gift certificate to be used in the club’s pro shop.

Winners of the skills competition were Todd Shuba of the Julian Gray Associates foursome, closest to the pin, hole #4; John Murawski of Kip’s Ice Cream foursome, closest to the pin, hole No. 11; Steve Ellis of PNC Wealth Management foursome, longest drive, hole No. 3, and Ryan Wilson, PLS Logistics foursome, longest putt, hole No. 18.

Winners of the skins competition were Jason Bush, John Luchini, and Luke Taiclet of the Penn State Business Services team; Matt Buffalini, Greg Gibala, Jim Riggio, and Glen Zahn from the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority team, and the Kip’s Ice Cream foursome. Each team received $100.

The golf outing proceeds, which will be announced soon, benefit the Alumni Society’s endowed scholarships for Beaver campus students.
