Streamlined process available for submitting TNS service requests

To provide more efficient customer service for Penn State departments and offices, a streamlined service inquiry process is in effect for completing ITS Telecommunications and Networking Services work orders. Service requests should be made online via the TNS Service Inquiry/Request Form at
http://tns.its.psu.edu/ or by calling 814-865-1696. It is no longer necessary to submit a Telecommunications Service Request (TSR) to initiate an order.

This process has been established to better meet the telecommunications needs of the Penn State community.

To enhance scheduling efficiency, departments that use the preferred methods of calling or submitting an online Service Inquiry/Request Form will be contacted by a TNS representative within two business days of their request. In addition, TSRs will not need to be completed unless requested by a service representative, since TSR forms will only be used to authorize telecommunications billing under the streamlined process. The TSR form will eventually be removed from the TNS Web page at the end of 2012.

The Service Inquiry/Request Form is available at https://apps.tns.its.psu.edu/pls/adrsprod/f?p=FORMS:Service_Inquiry. More information about TNS service requests is available at http://tns.its.psu.edu/Services/OrderingService.cfm.
