Norton named associate director of Penn State University Press

Jennifer Norton has been named associate director of the Penn State University Press. Norton was the assistant director of the manuscript, editorial, design and production department for the past 13 years, where she oversaw the design and production of a range of books -- from scholarly monographs and journals to heavily illustrated art and art history books. Prior to coming to the press, she worked in Manhattan as a designer for Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America and in Corning, N.Y., she designed for Corning Incorporated.

The Penn State Press has been formally aligned with the University Libraries, since 2005, with the establishment of the Office of Digital Scholarly Publishing, a jointly published reprint series, collaborative digitization projects, and the development with Cornell University of DPubS -- electronic journal publishing software.
