RocketHub founder to speak Oct. 13

Alon Hillel-Tuch, co-founder and chief financial officer of RocketHub.com, will be the keynote speaker for the Penn State Graduate School’s annual Doctoral Career Exploration Workshop on Oct. 13 at the Berg Auditorium in Penn State’s Huck Life Sciences Building on the University Park campus. RocketHub, one of the world’s largest crowdfunding platforms, helping thousands of funding campaigns raise millions of dollars globally. Netherlands native Hillel-Tuch has lectured on crowdfunding and entrepreneurship at various universities, institutions and conferences. Alon’s primary focus during talks is educating people on the rituals of the crowdfunding movement and the patterns of success that surround crowdfunding. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hamilton College, where he majored in Economics and minored in Chinese Culture & Language. He received his master's of science degree from Columbia University and specialized in dynamical systems theory, game theory, social entrepreneurship and conflict. He was appointed a fellow at the Earth Institute and is currently part of the Advanced Consortium of Cooperation, Conflict and Complexity think-tank on genocide prevention.
