University Libraries announce two faculty appointments

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State University Libraries announced two new faculty appointments: Manuel Ostos as the new Humanities Liaison Librarian for Spanish and Latin American Studies in the George and Sherry Middlemas Arts and Humanities Library, and Lauren Reiter as the new Business Liaison Librarian in the William and Joan Schreyer Business Library.

 

 

In August, Ostos earned his Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from Catholic University of America, where he worked as library assistant at the Semitics/Institute of Oriental Research Library and Collections. Ostos also holds a master's degree in Spanish from the University of New Mexico.

 

Reiter earned her Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in August 2012. While earning her master's degree, she was an intern at the Katz School of Business Library. She also interned at the Downtown and Business Branch of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Prior to entering graduate school, Reiter worked for four years as a corporate analyst for the Freedonia Group, where she researched private and public companies and wrote company profiles for industry reports.
