Applicants sought for 2013-14 Administrative Fellows Program

Applications are being sought for the Administrative Fellows Program for 2013-14. The program offers Penn State faculty and staff who hold standing positions the opportunity to work with senior University officers to gain knowledge and experiences pertaining to the challenges of leadership in the academic community. The program provides the chance for participants to strengthen their administrative talents and qualifications by working with a Penn State administrator in a mentoring relationship. Fellows increase their understanding of the contexts within which decisions are made and gain an enhanced understanding of the various units across the University.

Mentors for the 2013-14 academic year will be Madlyn L. Hanes, vice president for Commonwealth Campuses; Robert N. Pangborn, interim executive vice president and provost; and Harold L. Paz, CEO of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, senior vice president for Health Affairs and dean of the College of Medicine. An informational meeting is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14, in the 201 Old Main conference room. The meeting is designed to allow past fellows to field questions from prospective fellows. Those interested in attending should RSVP to Katryn Boynton on or before Nov. 9, either via email at or 814-863-7494. Information about the program may be found at
