Penn State Laureate Chris Staley offers 'A Search for Meaning'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Ceramicist Chris Staley, the 2012-13 Penn State Laureate and distinguished professor of art at the University, is discussing topics related to creativity and the intersection between art and life in a series of videos to be shared during the 2012-13 academic year, aiming to expand people's ideas on art and serve as a catalyst for further conversation. Locations will range from Staley's studio to horse stables to a football field, and the videos will include interviews with Penn State sports coaches and other distinguished members of the University community. The 3- to 4-minute videos, co-produced by College of Arts and Architecture staff member Cody Goddard, will appear weekly during the fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters on Penn State Live and in the Penn State Newswires.

The eighth video, "A Search for Meaning," is posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bDZd4xIN3Vs.
