Penn State Laureate Chris Staley: 'A Woman's Perspective in the Arts'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Ceramicist Chris Staley, the 2012-13 Penn State Laureate and distinguished professor of art at the University, is discussing topics related to creativity and the intersection between art and life in a series of videos to be shared during the 2012-13 academic year, aiming to expand people's ideas on art and serve as a catalyst for further conversation.

Locations will range from Staley's studio to horse stables to a football field, and the videos will include interviews with Penn State sports coaches and other distinguished members of the University community. The 3- to 4-minute videos, co-produced by College of Arts and Architecture staff member Cody Goddard, will appear weekly during the fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters on Penn State Live and in Penn State Newswires.

The 10th video, "A Woman's Perspective in the Arts," featuring Renee Kredell, assistant professor of art education and supervisor of student teaching; Sarah Rich, associate professor of art history; and Liz Quackenbush, professor of art, is posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DITqNRIW2dI.
