Nicholas H. Andrews, of Upper St. Clair, is the recipient of the 2012 Penn State Beaver Outstanding Alumni Award, which he will receive at an on-campus dinner meeting Jan. 16. Beaver Chancellor Gary Keefer will present the award, which is given on the basis of professional achievement, contributions to society and/or involvement with Penn State Beaver.

Andrews is president and owner of Andrews Industrial Controls Inc., Carnegie. In 1977 he founded the company, which serves the energy industry with product solutions for measurement and controls in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.

He attended Beaver campus for two years before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business at Penn State University Park. In 2009 he was named president-elect of the Beaver campus Advisory Board and also established an annual scholarship for Beaver campus students.
