Penn State Harrisburg course prepares high school students for SAT

The SAT Exam Prep Course, open to students in grades nine through 12, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from Jan. 12 to Feb. 23, in Penn State Harrisburg’s Educational Activities Building.

The course teaches students how to effectively apply new strategies to prepare for the comprehensive exam. The sessions will examine and discuss strategic approaches and processes for the critical reading, writing and math sections via lecture, interactive discussions and engaging activities. A fee of $325 includes "The Official SAT Study Guide" and DVD, and other instructional materials.

Instructor Angel Kelton teaches high school, where she has created curriculum for study skills and preparation for the SAT and standardized testing. She holds a master’s degree in language and literacy.
