Penn State Schuylkill to dedicate new Cotler Life Science Lab

The Classroom Building at Penn State Schuylkill recently underwent a major renovation to the science laboratories. With the assistance of a $590,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, a significant transformation of the biology research laboratory has been completed. The research lab contains an updated greenhouse and an animal room where the science faculty will be able to conduct their research in a modern facility with updated equipment. Furthermore, a new teaching laboratory has been constructed adjacent to the research lab. This new state of the art laboratory includes the latest technology, furniture and equipment. These efforts are consistent with the campus' focus to advance in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and were made possible through a contribution by Steve and Marjorie Cotler. A dedication of the new Cotler Life Science Lab and a reception is scheduled for Jan. 17.
