WPSU announces radio schedule changes

Regular listeners of WPSU will notice some changes coming soon to the radio lineup. Beginning Saturday, Feb. 2, WPSU will increase news and information programming, and add several new programs to its weekend and weekday schedules. This move is part of WPSU’s commitment to improving its public service to the region by increasing global, regional, and local news to its programming lineup.

"American Routes," which blends a broad range of American music from blues and jazz, to gospel, soul, and old-time country with artists’ stories and travels, debuts at 8 p.m. Saturday. The Saturday evening edition of the "Folk Show" will move to 10 p.m. Sundays.

Sunday afternoon’s schedule will introduce two shows to complement WPSU radio’s home and entertainment programming. They are: "You Bet Your Garden," a gardening call-in show from WHYY in Philadelphia, and American Public Media’s "The Dinner Party," an hour-long celebration of culture, food, and conversation.

Listeners interested in viewing the complete programming schedule can find it at wpsu.org/radio. NPR app links are available there, too.

WPSU, a division of Penn State Public Media, is a university licensee of the Pennsylvania State University and is central Pennsylvania's only full service National Public Radio affiliate. WPSU serves the region with programming, educational services, and community outreach.
