Pay for Play sets new record of more than $120 thousand

The sixth annual People’s Pay for Play on 105.7 The X raised a record-breaking $120,835 for Children’s Miracle Network and the Child Life program at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The People’s Morning Show personalities Nipsey, Earl David Reed, and Jen Shade, remained live on the air for the 28-hour marathon broadcast on Nov. 15 and 16.

Radio station 105.7 The X, whose format is known as active rock radio, allowed listeners to “Pay for Play” by making donations of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more. The further the request was from the station’s normal format, the higher the donation to have the song played. Songs of all genres were played for significant donations to Children’s Miracle Network during the broadcast.
