Or do you hear post-test murmurs about tricky test questions? Join Ramsay for an interactive workshop on designing effective multiple choice tests. You'll learn strategies for linking test items to learning objectives and instructional activities. We'll practice using a test blueprint, a tool that can help you and your students. We'll discuss rules for writing effective multiple choice items and give you an opportunity to begin writing or revising a test for one of your courses.

This workshop is intended as a companion to “Item Analysis: Improving Multiple Choice Tests,” but attending both is not required.

Participants should bring a multiple choice test they would like to revise or some material to begin writing questions for a new exam.
