High school students learn about water quality monitoring during a field trip to Black Moshannon State Park

High school students at Black Moshannon

State College Area High School students who are part of Teen Shale Network learned about water quality testing on a field trip to Black Moshannon State park. The initiative is part of the Shale Network, an ongoing research initiative by the Earth and Environmental Systems Institute at Penn State and other institutions focused on collecting data on water quality in areas where natural gas drilling is taking place.
