Ground broken on Energy Efficient Buildings Hub headquarters

Seven people in a row, including the Nittany Lion mascot, turn dirt with their shovels, breaking ground on the EEB Hub.

Ground was broken April 24 on the EEB Hub headquarters at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. Joining the Nittany Lion, from left, were Rodney Erickson, president of Penn State; Tom Corbett, governor of Pennsylvania; Kathleen Hogan, deputy assistant secretary for energy efficiency at the DOE; Michael Nutter, mayor of Philadelphia; Henry Foley, vice president for research at Penn State and executive director of the EEB Hub; and Matt Erskine, deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
