Old Main Open House 2010-9

Visitors to the Old Main Open House file past sophomore Lion Ambassador Andrew Zellis, in character as U.S. President Abraham Lincoln as part of the free tours organized during the traditional event run yearly by the Lion Ambassadors. The Lincoln impersonation represented the role played by the Morrill Land-Grant Colleges Act of 1862, which turned the Farmer's High School into Penn State, the state's land-grant college. This year's Open House took place on Wednesaday, April 21, and saw nearly a thousand tour participants pass around and through the building and grounds.
