Penn State Smeal MBA students learn leadership from U.S. Marine Corps
At first glance, this was not typical MBA classroom fare. Several Penn State Smeal College of Business MBA students spent 24 hours with the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, Va. — including time navigating the legendary Quigley water obstacle course — as part of a leadership immersion activity providing insight into the military organization's leadership styles, culture and decision-making.

Sustainability marketing class collaborates with Advanced Vehicle Team
In assistant professor of marketing Karen Winterich's spring 2014 Business Administration 497b Sustainable Behavior of Consumers, Firms and Societies course, Smeal College of Business students collaborated with the Penn State Advanced Vehicle Team to develop ways for the team to enhance its opportunities for business sponsorship.
