A peek behind the scenes at the ongoing expansion and improvements project at Penn State's HUB-Robeson Center.
The jaws of a concrete excavator moved into place during tear down of the east wall at Penn State's HUB-Robeson Center on Oct. 21. Work to improve and expand the HUB-Robeson Center is ongoing and will include more than 52,000 square feet of renovations.
The Penn State Bookstore location in the HUB-Robeson Center is one of the primary areas being renovated in the buildings improvement and enhancement project. Plans include a new second floor mezzanine and cafe in the bookstore with a green roof above.

A crane hammer was used to demolish a part of the east wall at Penn State's HUB-Robeson Center on Oct. 21. Renovation will include a new courtyard with added seating, study spaces and a THON store. The HUB-Robeson Center expansion project is slated for a late spring 2015 completion.
The Penn State Bookstore is temporarily located on the HUB-Robeson Center lawn while the renovations project to the HUB-Robeson Center continues. Improvements and expansion to the Penn State Bookstore location in the HUB-Robeson Center as well as construction of an expanded and enclosed courtyard are slated for completion in the late spring of 2015.
