The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel expansion will double the number of guest rooms available to 300, as well as adding 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, according to Fran Levin, director of sales and marketing. The new area opens Aug. 23. The new entrance and carport are shown.
A limestone fireplace has been added to the new lobby and main entrance which are part of the addition.
In a few days, the check-in center will be bustling with activity. Right now, the center is being used to lay out checklists as the contractors go through the final phase of the project.
This is the site of the new gift shop in the lobby. The previous gift shop space is going to be turned into a cafe.
A number of sculptures and floating art arrangements hang from the ceiling outside a new conference room.

The stairs links the new section of the hotel with the older portion of the building.
The blueprints show where parking has been added and outlines plans for landscaping.
Furniture is still being moved into the new rooms.
