Creating delicious and attractive dessert items is part of the day-to-day work at the Penn State Bakery. The facility provides baked goods to all of the residence halls, the HUB food services operation, the Nittany LIon Inn and the Penn Stater Conference Center. Heather Luse, co-manager and executive pastry chef, oversees the production of more than 40 thousand special-order pastries a year.

Scooping cupcake batter into baking trays is just one part of the early-morning work being done daily at the Penn State Bakery. Heather Luse, executive pastry chef and co-manager of the facility, has been with the bakery for 18 years and organizes all menu-planning and recipe-development. She also likes to get involved in the day-to-day prep work and baking whenever she is able.

Luse is the co-manager the Penn State Bakery and oversees the baking and distribution of more than 7 thousand dozen assorted muffins to the Penn State community annually. The Penn State Bakery provides baked goods as well as special-order pastries to all of the University's residence halls, hotels and cafes.

The Penn State Bakery produces more than 700,000 dinner rolls annually for the Penn State community. Bakery co-manager and executive chef Heather Luse oversees the daily production of cookies, cupcakes, pies and all other baked goods for Penn State. She also coordinates the day-to-day menu-planning and recipe-development at the facility.

Heather Luse is the co-manager and executive pastry chef at Penn State's bakery facility on the University Park campus. She leads the training and coordinating of the bakery staff and organizes all menu planning and recipe development. Beyond making breads, muffins, cupcakes and more, her favorite part of the job is collaborating with the motivated people she works with day to day. Heather has worked at Penn State for 18 years.
