POTD Lunar Lion-old main -btn
The Penn State Lunar Lion Team gathered in Old Main on Nov. 29 for a group photograph. The Lunar Lion Team, comprised of engineers and scientists from across the University, is joining 28 other teams in the $30 million Google Lunar X Prize Competition. The goal is to land a vehicle on the moon and successfully explore two distinct locations. A production crew from the Big Ten Network was on hand to film a segment of the program 'Impact the World' that will feature the Lunar Lions. The program is slated for a Jan. 2012 broadcast.
POTD Reflection
A decorated tree adorned the lobby of Penn State's Department of Chemistry building on Nov. 28 as images of students walking to classes reflected in the windows. Students have returned to the University Park campus from Thanksgiving break to complete the fall semester and prepare for finals.
POTD Wrestling
True freshman Morgan McIntosh posted a convincing 13-5 major in his win at 197 in Penn State's Intrasquad Dual wrestling match on Thursday (Nov. 3) in Rec Hall on Penn State's University Park campus. More than 3,000 fans packed the stands for this exhibition match. The regular season begins with a home dual against Bloomsburg at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, which will feature the raising of Penn State's Big Ten and NCAA title banners.
