The Penn State Nittany Lion welcomed a homecoming crowd to Beaver Stadium on Oct. 6 prior to Penn State's first Big Ten game of the season vs. Northwestern. Penn State defeated the Wildcats 39 to 28 for their fourth victory of the 2012 season.

The Penn State Blue Band performed their traditional pre-game show for a homecoming crowd at Beaver Stadium on Oct. 6. The Nittany Lions defeated Northwestern 39 to 28 for their first Big Ten win of the 2012 season.

Penn State fans celebrated a first quarter field goal by Nittany Lion Sam Ficken on Oct. 6 at Beaver Stadium. Ficken's kick was the first score of the day for the Nittany Lions on the way to a 39 to 28 homecoming victory over Northwestern.

Wide receiver Brandon Felder-Moseby stretched for a Penn State first down following one of his five catches on Oct. 6 vs. Northwestern. The Nittany Lions rallied late to defeat Northwestern 39 to 28 to the delight of a homecoming crowd at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin handed off to running back Zach Zwinak during third quarter action on Oct. 6 at Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions scored three times in the final nine minutes of the fourth quarter to defeat Northwestern 39 to 28.

Following Penn State's 39 to 28 homecoming victory over Northwestern on Oct. 6 at Beaver Stadium, students joined in singing the Penn State Alma Mater with alumni, coaches, players and alumni.
