International education honor society installed at campus
Penn State Lehigh Valley celebrated the installation of the Alpha Zeta Pi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, international honor society in education, on Dec. 2 during a ceremony, at Iron Lakes Country Club in Allentown. This is the first education honor society to be established at the campus and only the third Kappa Delta Pi chapter among Penn State campuses.
More than 150 friends and family members attended the celebration during which 28 students and seven faculty members were initiated. Julie Ealy, associate professor of chemistry at Penn State Lehigh Valley and lifetime member of Kappa Delta Pi, delivered the keynote address. In order to be eligible for the Penn State Lehigh Valley chapter, students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or better, be in sophomore standing, and be involved in leadership and service organizations.
