The professional writing minor is now available to students at Penn State Altoona. Designed to complement all bachelor’s degree programs, the new 18-credit minor helps prepare students to write effectively in academia and the workplace.

Penn State Altoona men's volleyball won its first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference championship on Saturday afternoon (April 15), defeating Wells College 3-1 in the Adler Gym. With the win, the Lions earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Division III tournament, which will be held April 28-30 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Ashley Schroeder, a 2005 Penn State Altoona graduate, was among the nine recipients of the Penn State Alumni Association’s 2017 Alumni Achievement Award honored during an award ceremony March 31 at the University Park campus. Students Advocating for Disability Awareness at Penn State Altoona held a “Spread the Word to End the Word” banner-signing event March 1 in the Hawthorn Building to kick off intellectual disability awareness month. SADA's primary mission is to create inclusive environments on campus and in local communities for people with disabilities.
